It has this been rumoured that Huawei have plans to release the Ascend P7 smartphone in April of 2014, as according to a report by GSM Arena, the handset will be a major upgrade to the Ascend P6 and will be announced in June 2014.

According to rumours the handset will feature a 5 inch 1080p TFT LCD display with a 1.6GHz Quad-Core processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, and a design that is said to be made of “exquisite materials”, and will likely feature a metal chasis much like the Ascend P6.

Other rumoured specs also include a 13 megapixel rear-facing camera, 8 megapixel front-facing camera, LTE chipset, 2460mAh battery and one of the recent versions of Android with Huawei’s EmotionUI 2.0 thrown on top.

As of yet no photos of the handset have been leaked, and there’s no word on pricing or availability.
