Revealed at Mobile World Congress the Ascend D claims to be “the world’s fastest smartphone”, with a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with a 4.5 inch display with a 1280 x 720 resolution, 8 megapixel rear cameras and another 1.3 megapixel camera on the front Huawei’s Ascend D is defiantly one to look out for.

And you might be able to get it sooner than you thought as Huawei has confirmed that the Ascend D will be available in the UK with rumours stating it  might ship sometime in July, but as of yet there is no exact date for release or pricing just yet.

You can expect the device to be free on most carriers with at a guess on a £35 a month contract, but as we said there are no official details just yet but we will be sure to let you know.
