Huawei have surprised everyone at CES today, revealing with probably one of the biggest screens on the market, in fact big might not even be the right word for the screen on the Ascend Mate coming in at a massive 6.1 inches the HD screen takes up around 73% of the entire front panel.

In order to power this Huawei also had to add a 4050mAh battery, that can be managed through a feature called ‘Quick Power Control’ and will apparently cut 10% of power used by the phone through smart connection management, alongside this Huawei have also brought in Nokia’s Magic Touch technology allowing you to use the phone whilst wearing gloves.

The whole thing will run on Android 4.1 and Huawei’s Hi-Silicon 1.5GHz quad-core processor, there’s also an 8 megapixel camera.

The Ascend Mate will launch globally in March 2013 for a currently unknown price.
