Huawei has today teased a launch event that they have scheduled for April 6th.

We don’t yet know what they will be unveiling at the event, but many are saying that it will be the event where the Chinese manufacturer unveils its new P9 flagship.

That said, nothing in the invite point us to that, only featuring the hashtag “#00”, which we presume means infinity, and the tagline “change the way you see the world”, which could point to the display or camera.

We have already seen some leaked images of the Huawei P9, showing what looks to be a rear-facing dual camera system, so both the hashtag and tagline could link to that, but as of yet we don’t know anything official about the phone just yet.

@evleaks (Evan Blass) has reported on VentureBeat that the P9 will feature a 5.2 inch Full HD display, Kirin 950 processor and 3GB of RAM.

However, there are also rumours of a premium version of the handset with a 955 processor and 4GB of RAM, so it’s possible the P9 might be launched in two forms. Blass says that we may see the announcement of the P9 Lite and the larger P9 Max at the event.

Other rumours suggest that both will have 12-megapixel sensors, with Lecia lenses.

However, with no official news yet, we will just have to wait until Huawei’s event in London next month.
