Along with the removal of the headphone jack, Apple revealed their plans to help move technology to a wireless future, in which they hope to bring you in with the Apple AirPods.

Today iFixit released their tear-down reveal for the wireless earbuds, revealing that they contain a tiny 93 milliwatt battery, along with some tiny circuitry inside.

iFixit say that these AirPods are very hard to repair as the only way to open them is with a knife and pilers, which means that you would have to destroy the plastic casing just to get inside.

Because of this, iFixit gave the AirPods a repairability score of 0 out of 10, 0 being the lowest possible score and 10 being the highest.

Early reviews have been okay for the earbuds despite this, with current reviews stating that they are durable and feature some great wireless connectivity.

We will have a review roundup for the earbuds soon, but before that you can read iFixit’s tear-down via the source link below.
