IGN Entertainment, the network responsible for sites like IGN.com, 1UP, AskMen and UGO has been acquired by the digital media publisher Ziff Davis, splitting from their previous owner, News Corporation.

From today IGN’s sites will join the existing Ziff Davis portfolio that includes PCMAG.com, Geek.com and Toolbox.com, making Ziff Davis one of the largest tech, gaming and entertainment publishers in the world, with a network achieving over 53 million monthly unique visitors.
