Back in March last year, Ikea launched their new smart lighting system called TRÅDFRI, it was designed to offer an easy solution to getting your lighting smart on a budget, however, it didn’t work with much else around your home.

Until today that is. Today Ikea announced that their new TRÅDFRI smart lights will soon support Amazon Alexa, Google Home, and HomeKit.

Sadly, this support isn’t coming right now, however, it will happen during the summer and autumn of this year

Once it has been launched, you will be able to control these Ikea smart lights with your voice via the Siri, Google Assistant, and the Alexa personal assistant, meaning that you no longer need to get out your phone to turn or adjust a light.

Well, after the summer anyway, in the meantime, you’ll need your phone to do anything with your Ikea lights.

You can find out more about it in the meantime at the source link below.
