At Computex today Intel announced the launch of their latest family of Intel Core processors, called the Intel Core X-Series, they are a new set of high-end desktop processors that go all the way up to an 18-core processor.

The line-up will include a range of models to fit your pricing though, with ranges from $242 up to $1,999.

To kick things off there is the Intel Core i5-7640X, which is the lowest-priced model at $242 but features an okay 4 GHz clock speed, 4 cores, and 4 threads.

Up from that, there’s an i7 with 10 cores and 20 threads and then an Intel Core i7-7820X starts off at 3.6 GHz but can reach 4.5 GHz with Intel Turbo Boost Max.

But there’s more on top of that, with a new set of Intel X-Series i9 chips that base at 3.3GHz, and go up to 4.5GHz Intel Turbo Boost Max, with core and thread counts that range from 12/24 up to 18/36.

We don’t know when these will appear in devices, however, we will definitely update you when we hear about those devices.
