Today Apple revealed some pretty exciting news about iOS.

That news is that their latest OS, iOS 10 has been downloaded and installed on 54 of all iOS compatible devices.

It comes after Apple released the mobile OS for iPhone and iPad devices alongside the launch of the iPhone 7 and the 7 Plus last month.

Alongside the news that iOS 10 has been installed on 54 percent of devices, Apple also revealed details about the previous versions of the mobile OS.

With this news, Apple revealed that iOS 9 is on just 38 percent of devices, which means that iOS 10 is now the most popular iOS version, after being available for just a month.

Older versions of the mobile OS are on just 8 percent of devices.

Recently Apple released a third beta for the iOS 10 software to developers alongside iOS 10.1 to the public.

It will be interesting to see how these adoption numbers increase over the next year.
