Even though the 4S only includes a few more minor improvements, like a faster dual-core A5 processor, improved camera and Apple’s new mobile personal assistant named Siri, the 4S has already broken Apple’s previous record of 600,00 pre-orders in a day, which was held by the iPhone 4.
The record-breaking 4S has already received 1 million pre-orders across various platforms and carriers, Phil Schiller Apple’s Senior VP of Product Marketing said that Apple “are blown away with the incredible customer response to iPhone 4S.”
“The first day pre-orders for iPhone 4S have been the most for any new product that Apple has ever launched,”, “And we are thrilled that customers love iPhone 4S as much as we do.”
This just shows that even after an 18 month wait people still cannot wait to get their hands on the latest iPhone, which might have been one of the smartest things Apple has done as it meant a lot of their customers waited instead of upgrading their phone when they could.
If you have pre-ordered the 4S let us know how much you can’t wait for it below, if you haven’t I suggest you get queuing ready for its release in just a few of days, Apple stores will start selling the device at 8 am on the 14th October.
