Apple confirmed a couple of days ago that pre-orders for the iPhone would begin on September 14th, well by chance that is actually today, and Apple fan-boys around the world have probably already got their orders in before next weeks flood.

But the biggest part of today’s news is that, finally, the UK prices for the phone have been revealed,  the 16GB will be £529, 32GB £599 and the 64Gb will be £699 all SIM-free, however companies offering contracts will reveal their prices soon.

In the US prices will be $649, $749 and $849 respectively, but can only be pre-ordered as a contract on AT&T, Verizon or Sprint.

Let us know if you have managed to get your pre-order in early, and make sure to look out for more information on iPhone 5 contracts in the UK.
