When I first seen the images for this release I wasn’t sure if I was looking at a new speaker or an alien being, which is all due to the new design Jabra has chosen for its latest Bluetooth Portable Speaker, taken from its Bluetooth headset and blended with footwear apparently creates this.

The Solemote will be available for $200 in both black and white, the speaker will also feature a rubberised casing that’s both shock and water-resistant, which can be made even more shock and water-resistant with the included waterproof soundbag.

I am actually impressed how far Jabra have gone with this design, with a portable heel tab fro carrying purposes and a replaceable sole, which covers up the 3.5mm jack, for those device without Bluetooth connectivity.

At the front of the Solemate there a set of acoustic tweeters which sit next to a subwoofer which backs a passive bass radiator at the back, which all allow the device to pump of 120dBs of volume, on the top Jabra have also included a set of volume buttons alongside one button for answering/ rejecting calls and enabling its Voice Guidance feature.

The Solemate is available on Amazon today for pre-order, but won’t release until September 2nd.
