Back in 2012 Jabra announced a speaker called the Soulmate, which they have today updated with the announcement of the Jabra Soulmate Mini, which features the same rugged design but in a more compact form, sized at 125 x 55 x 60mm and weighing 295g.

Wrapped in a rubber finish, the SoulMate Mini will be available in blue, yellow, red and black.

Also featuring two in-built speakers and a mic to allow you to take calls from the speaker itself, the Soulmate Mini connects to any Bluetooth capable speaker and features NFC for quick pariing with any device that offers the same connectivity.

Alongside that, there’s also a 3.5mm cable input for any other devices, as well as an internal battery which charges via USB and is said to provide 8 hours of playback.

Jabra also updated the original Soulmate with NFC pairing.

As of yet there’s no word on pricing for the Jabra Soulmate Mini.
