JBL have just announced the launch of what they claim to be the “world’s first Lightning connector speaker docks to market”, the speaker docks include the JBL OnBeat Micro and the JBL Venue LT, which can connect to any device with the new Lightning connector including the  iPhone 5, iPad 4, iPad mini and latest generation iPod touch and iPod nano.

The OnBeat Micro is the portable one of the two, powered by battery’s it includes two full-range transducers and built-in digital signal processing, and can last up to five hours with 4 x AAA batteries.

Whilst plugged in the dock will charge the device and can output 2 watts of audio power, the dock also includes a separate USB connection and a 3.5mm stereo audio inputs.

There is also the Venue LT which has been designed for the home and has a wider base designed to hold both the iPad Mini and the new 4th Gen iPad, it also includes Bluetooth so you can transmit audio wirelessly, once plugged in you can also load up the MusicFlow which is included with a purchase of any larger speaker dock.

The JBL OnBeat Micro is available from today for £79.99, you can also pick up the JBL Venture LT from today for £199.99.
