Security is probably one of the biggest problems that we still need to overcome for all technology, however we seem to be coming with new methods, with a new application released for iOS today that will allow its users to unlock their Mac by simply tapping on the connected iPhone whilst in range.

Using Bluetooth 4.0 technology, the Knock app will support the iPhone 4S, 5 and 5S handsets, and once installed will allow the user to securely access their Mac without using a password.

For a quick look at the application check out the video below.

The Knock iOS application is available to download from today for $4.99, with a Mac companion app available for free download from Knock’s website.
