Kobo has today announced a brand new eBook Reader called the Kobo Glo HD, which offers the highest resolution screen for its price.

That screen is a 6-inch Carta E-Ink HD touchscreen that has a 1,448 x 1,072 pixel resolution and 300ppi. it also has a built-in light for reading in the dark.

Inside of the e-reader there’s also a 1GHz processor, as well as a battery that is said to last up to two months from a single charge as long as you read for as little as half an hour a day with the light and Wi-Fi off.

The Kobo Glo HD also weighs in at 180 gram, is just 9.2mm thin and has 4GB of storage that can be used to store various file formats that includes HTML, TXT, JPEG, GIF and CBZ.

Kobo will also offer a free concierge service to get the reader set-up, as well as a store that offers 4.7 million titles.

The reader also the ability to take notes, highlight text, make bookmarks and tracks stats to learn about reading habits.

The Kobo Glo HD in black will go on sale from 1 June in the UK for £110, after which it will be available in the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand will have the Kobo Glo HD from May 1st, France from May 22nd, and Italy, the Netherlands, German and Spain from June 1st.
