Kobo have today announced the release of their limited edition Kobo Aura HD E-Reader, which features a new 265ppi E-Ink 6.8 inch display, however there’s no information on its pixel resolution, although some sites are suggesting it’s likely 1440×1080, which is pretty decent for an e-reader.

Kobo also claims to have perfected the fonts available on the device, for which they have included 10 in total that can be displayed in 24 different sizes.

They have also added a new home screen as well as packing it out with a 1GHz processor and 4GB of internal memory which can be expanded up to 32GB.

The Aura HD will be available for pre-order from April 16th for £139.99 on Kobo’s website, after which it will ship in the UK and Canada on April 25th 2013.
