This week Kobo announced that they will be launching a new eReader soon. Called the Kobo Aura ONE, it is aimed at the user who is looking for something a little more premium.

It has been designed to compete with other eReaders like the Kindle Voyage and the Kindle Oasis specifically.

That said, Kobo hasn’t officially announced it yet and we only really know about it because of an FCC filling that shown off the 7.8-inch eReader early.

We know that the Aura ONE comes equipped with its own waterproof case, with a 1,872 x 1,404-pixel resolution illuminated Cara E-Ink touchscreen display.

It also features support for 802.11b/g/n wireless connectivity, 8GB of internal storage and 512MB of RAM.

However, aside from that, we don’t know much else.

No information about the pricing or worldwide availability has been revealed yet either.

We will let you know as soon as we have the official details.
