Back in October Kodak announced their Ektra smartphone, featuring a Helio X20 2.3GHz dual-core processor, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of built-in storage.

It also features a microSD card slot, with Android Marshmallow pre-installed.

It also comes with a 13-megapixel front-facing camera that has phase detection, and a 21-megapixel rear-facing camera along with a USB Type-C port, and a fast charging 3,000mAh battery. There’s also an inbuilt shutter button for quick shooting.

That rear-facing camera is particularly interesting, it uses the Sony Exmor RS sensor, with Phase detection Auto Focus, Optical Image Stabilisation, an f/2.0 aperture, and dual-LED flash.

The front-facing camera has a f/2.2 aperture. to top that off, the smartphone has a 4G-enabled Nano SIM slot, GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.1, a 3.5 audio jack, and FM radio.

Today, Kodak revealed that this new camera-focused smartphone from December 9th.

It will launch in Europe on December 9th, at which point it will be available in the UK and Germany for €499 (around £420).
