Lenovo has today announced the expansion of their ThinkPad range, with the release of the newly updated ThinkPad X230s, which will be taking over from the previously announced Thinkpad X230.

The notebook packs a 13.5 inch display, and is just 0.7 thick, weighing only 2.9 pounds it’s a lot thinner than the previous model.

Which ever processor you choose can also be included, with  8GB of RAM and an option of various SSD and HDD drives, with a range of space options that will can be chosen according to your need or budget.

There’s also a backlit keyboard, integrated fingerprint scanner and 2 USB 3.0 ports.

Currently however there’s no information on the notebooks price or its availability.
