Alongside the announcement of their new G2 smartphone, LG announced a new budget smartphone to launch this year.

Dubbed the LG Optimus L1 II, the smartphone is the smallest of the Optimus  II range and features a 3 inch display that includes a 320 x 240 pixel resolution, as well as a 1GHz processor, 512MB of RAM and 4GB of in-built storage.

There’s also a microSD card slot, as well as a 2 megapixel rear facing camera that can record VGA videos, and finally the handset runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

The LG Optimus L1 II will be available in both black and white initially in Vietnam for the equivalent of $94, and will be headed to the UK and Russia at some point after.
