Some time ago LG posted a teaser to their Twitter account that the Android 5.0 Lollipop update would be “coming soon” to the recently announced LG G3.

That sometime soon is today, well at least for those who like within certain regions.

We do know that the Android 4.0 update has begun to roll out however, starting with those in Italy.

That should hopefully mean than the update will also reach other European countries over the next few weeks, however we have no official word on that yet however.

Once you do get it however you will get a ton of new features.

One of the biggest is the new Material design feature that adds fluid animations and better visuals, but there is also ART runtime, improved lock screen notifications, new multi-tasking, performance improvements and much more.

Once we hear more about when the update might be launched we will let you know, you can however check it for yourself via the settings app.
