LG has today announced their new L-Series III handsets, a range which will begin with the new L90 smartphone, first hitting the CIS region, including Russia and the Ukranine, with other areas getting the smartphone around the world.

The L90 will be aimed at the mid-range market, and will feature a 4.7 inch 960 x 540 IPS display with a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, with 1GB of RAM, 8GB of on-board storage, a microSD card slot that will allow for up to 32GB of expansion.

There’s also an 8 megapixel camera on the back (5 megapixel in some markets),and a 5 1.3 megapixel on eon the front, also featuring a 2,540mAh battery, with Android 4.4 pre-installed.

The device will also measure 131.5 x 66 x 9.7mm, and will be the first device to feature its Knock Code software, allowing users to switch the smartphone on and lock it easily, just tap on the screen with one of 86,000 knock combinations.

Price and release dates are yet to be revealed.
