At The Gadget Show Live earlier today LG has launched its 84-inch Ultra HD 3D LED TV in the UK, the 84LM960V has a 4K resolution or if you prefer 3840 x 2160, a set of stereo speakers and two subwoofers at the price of £22,500.

The company claims it will be the first of its kind to go on sale in the UK and includes LGs Smart TV functionality and 3D Cinema which uses a passive 3D system that allows the user to use non-powered or shuttered glasses, which means cheap pairs of 3D glasses will be available.

However five pairs do come with the TV alongside a further two pairs included for the dual-play feature allowing gamers to play video games on the same screen but with the view of the whole screen, which will be lower than normal but you will get 1080p to each eye with this feature.

The TV will also include Wi-Fi capabilities and has been DLNA certified allowing you to stream media to it wirelessly from your PC, network drive or any other device with the equivalent technology, alongside which there’s also the voice-controlled Magic Remote Voice technology, 2D to 3D conversion, a Freeview HD tuner, four HDMI ports and a USB 2.0 port.

The 84LM960V will be available in ten stores including John Lewis Sloane Square, Bentalls Kingston and Richer Sounds Southampton before Christmas but will be rolled out further in 2013, but you can check it out at the Gadget Show Live event at the Excel in London until December 2nd.
