Just an hour after we posted that LG had confirmed the release of the LG G3 at the end of June, LG has begun to send out invites to the press for the event where they will be unveiling their new flagship smartphone.

The event will kick off on May 27th around the world, with launch events happening in London, New York, San Francisco, Singapore, Istanbul, and Seoul.

And that’s about all the information we have about the event, with no clues given off from the invite, everything else is simply a guess.

Thankfully we have some rumours, with leaked specifications suggesting the smartphone will feature a 5.5 inch Quad HD display a 2560 x 1440 resolution for 534ppi, OIS+ camera, 3GB of RAM, 16GB and 32GB storage options, a polycarbonate build and microSD slot.

Earlier we posted that LG had confirmed the handset will launch at the end of June, revealed in the companies financial call where they stated that, “higher revenues are expected in the second quarter with the release of the flagship LG G3 smartphone.”
