LG has today revealed another device for its Friend ecosystem.

Designed to work with LG’s other devices, the new LG Action Cam is capable of capturing 4K video and then streaming to live services like YouTube Live over a 4G connection, but this connectivity will be dependent on the partnered carriers.

So far no carriers have been announced for the UK or the US, however, LG has said that it can be used over a 3G network if required.

It also features Wi-Fi connectivity, along with Bluetooth 4.1 support, 4GB of internal storage and a microSD card slot that can add up to an extra 2TB.

There’s also a 12.3-megapixel sensor on the camera which can record video in Ultra HD at 30fps, Full HD at 60fps and 720p at 120fps.

Live streaming has been capped to 1080p at 30fps however.

LG hasn’t revealed the processor yet, but we do know if has 2GB of RAM and a 1,400mAh battery inside, which provides up to 4 hours of Full HD recording according to LG.

It is also IP67 water and dust proof, so it can be submerged to one metre for up to 30 minutes. It also measures only 35 x 35 x 77.9mm and weighs just 95g.

Now global price or release details have been confirmed yet, but we do know that it will be available in South Korea in June.
