LG have today announced that its new G Pad 10.1 tablet is now available in the US, with plans to rollout the tablet in Europe, Asia and Latin America later this month.

The LG G Pad has a 10.1 inch IPS display with a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution. Inside you will also find a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of storage and a microSD card slot.

On the front of the device there is a 1.3 megapixel camera, and on the back there’s a 5 megapixel camera, both of which use a new feature called Touch & Shoot which allows the user to tap the screen to focus and take a picture.

There’s also a feature called Gesture Shot which will allow the user to activate a 3-second timer by making a fist to the camera.

Last up on the spec list is Android 4.4.2 KitKat alongside a 8,000mAh battery.

As of yet no pricing has been revealed for the tablet.
