LifePrint is a unique instant photo printer that you might be interested in. It’s not a typical Bluetooth-connected printer, with the capability of printing photos and bringing them to reality by using a companion app and augmented reality software, transforming your images into something like what was shown in Harry Potter.

It was already launched on the Indiegogo crowdfunding site, and it was successful in that run.

Thanks to that, you can now purchase LifePrint through Apple’s online and retail stores exclusively.

LifePrint works by connecting to your smartphone over Bluetooth. It will then link up to the companion app, allowing you to print out an image of your choosing on self-adhesive ZINK Paper.

Then you point your device’s camera at the printout and you will see that photo come to life with an attached video, animated GIF, Live Photo, Snapchat filter, or more.

To indicate that this is something that can happen, all printed photos will have a LifePrint watermark to indicate that people should use the app with that photo.

The LifePrint printer is available starting today for $130. LifePrint film will cost $20 for a pack of 30 prints or $50 for a pack of 110 prints. The printer and app will initially be exclusive to iOS devices, but once the exclusivity ends, Android support is expected.
