It was only earlier this week that LIFX announced the upcoming launch of their Tile modular lighting panels but just a few days after, LIFX is announcing the launch of another smart lighting system called the LIFX Beam.

Beam is pretty interesting because it offers something that hasn’t really been done by anyone else just yet.

It consists of a set of modular lights that can be arranged into a variety of different shapes on your wall and then light up in your chosen colour scheme from the 16 million colour options.

And all of that can be set from your smart devices via HomeKit.

Each Beam Kit consists of 6 individual Beams, a corner connector piece, and a power pack to build up your accent lighting.

Each of these Beams consists of 10 blended light zones that can blend colours together for extreme lighting combinations.

Each individual Beam measures 11.8 x 1.37 x 0.78 inches and can be put together for a maximum size of 72.24 x 1.37 x 0.78 inches.

You can control it all via the LIFX app, HomeKit, or through a third party such as Amazon Alexa, Google Home or IFTTT.

LIFX Beam will be launched in November of this year for $199.99 in the US or for £203 in the UK (we have no idea why that’s more either).

You can find out more and pre-order the lighting at the source link below.
