Looking to target students looking to go to university, LinkedIn has today announced the launch of a new set of pages designed to allow students who have already attended that university to provide recommendations.

The pages will also allow current and former students to share their thoughts of the organisation to potential students looking to attend the university, as well as allow universities to provide updates to those linked to the pages, and can be used as a place where students can ask questions to the faculty, staff, alumni and current students, with a notable alumni tab that shows some of the schools best graduates.

To begin with the service will be launching with 200 pages on the list, however LinkedIn is expecting thousands of more universities an colleges to launch soon.
