A FCC filing has just surfaced in the US that may be revealing the third smartpen from Livescribe, who are a six-year-old company and have been developing pens that allow the user to record and digitize things that the user writes, and comes after the Pulse, Echo and Sky pen, the last of which was recently in a court case with BSkyB.

The Livescribe 3 is yet to be unveiled, but will apparently feature Bluetooth to pair with an iOS device, allowing users to transfer your handwriting to your paired iOS device. The filing also revealed a micro-USB connector for charging, as well as a twistable handle for powering.

The pen is also said to support Pencasts, that will allow notes to sync with recorded audio.

Nothing is official yet, and no pricing or availability has been revealed yet.
