Logitech has today announced a redesigned version of its Ultrathin keyboard cover for the iPad Air, iPad Mini and the iPad Mini with Retina display, now with a thinner and lighter design.

The cover also comes with a new multi-angle slot that enables the user to adjust the viewing angle, fixing the iPad with a magnetic clip, allowing the tablet to be tilted for an optimal position whilst typing.

There’s also shortcuts for iOS included on the Bluetooth keyboard, with a set of QWERTY keys alongside it, which also acts as a protective cover for iPad.

The case has also be made from a high-grade aluminium material, matching the finish of the iPad itself, which is 6.4mm thick and only about two-thirds of the weight of the iPad itself (depending on the particular iPad used).

“The iPad is no longer just for content consumption; it is for content creation wherever you go,” said Mike Culver, vice president and general manager of mobility at Logitech.

“The Logitech Ultrathin has evolved with the new ways in which we use the iPad making it thinner, lighter and more flexible than ever before. It is the other half of your iPad.”

The new Logitech Ultrathin will be available from June for £89.99 for the iPad Air version, and £69.99 for the iPad Mini or the iPad Mini with Retina display, both of which will be available from Logitech’s online store and from Apple stores.
