it was some time ago when Logitech first unveiled its Ultrathin keyboard case for the iPad some time ago, making it available for both the iPad and the iPad Mini models at a number of points.

Now the company has unveiled a new version of the case that has been completely redesigned to be lighter and thinner than the previously announced model, now at just 6.4mm think and weighing only 2/3 of what the iPad weighs in total according to the company.

The new keyboard cover also uses a new multi-angle slot, allowing the user to quickly clip-in their iPad, and adjust it for the best screen angle.

“The way we use the iPad is changing,” said Mike Culver, vice president and general manager of mobility at Logitech. “The iPad is no longer just for content consumption; it is for content creation wherever you go. The Logitech Ultrathin has evolved with the new ways in which we use the iPad making it thinner, lighter, and more flexible than ever before. It is the other half of your iPad.”

The new Ultrathin keyboard cover is available for the iPad Air at $99.99, and the iPad Mini and iPad Mini Retina for $89.99, both of which will be available in May.

There’s no word on UK pricing or release dates yet, however if we find out we will update this.
