[Update] Although Logitech sent us this press release earlier, it now seems as though they weren’t actually ready to announce the device, and as such it has been delayed according to the company, with no details given.

Logitech has today introduced a brand new portable speaker called the Logitech X300, which is a wireless speaker that has been designed with both portability and performance in mind, with specially angled drivers that allows for an expansive sound spectrum according to the company.

Logitech also said in their press release that the speaker also has a precise bass response with detailed mids and highs.

The speaker will also allow users to connect to it and play audio from music or anything else from any Bluetooth enabled device from up to 30 feet away.

“The Logitech X300 Mobile Wireless Stereo Speaker gives you theatre-quality sound on the go,” said Jeffery Cheung, product manager for wireless speakers at Logitech. “We designed this stereo speaker with the drivers facing upward and outward to deliver expansive sound that can help take your mobile entertainment to the next level.”

The speaker also comes with buttons to adjust the volume and manage phone calls from the speaker itself, and inside of the speaker there’s a built-in Lithium-ion battery that is said to last up to five hours of continuous playtime, and can then be recharged via the included micro-USB cable.

The Logitech X300 Mobile Wireless Stereo Speaker will be available in the US and certain parts of Asia in June 2014, as well as select countries in Europe from August 2014.
