This month a company named Lomography launched their latest camera project on Kickstarter.

Called the Neptune Convertible Art Lens system, it is a new camera system that consists of three prime lenses, two aperture mechanisms and one lens, providing expandable photography capabilities with just one lens.

With this, you simply put on the lens base and then add on one of the three lenses, which provide three different focal lengths that include 3.5/35, 2.8/50 and 4.0/80.

You can also alternative between a range of apertures and aperture plates with this system, allowing you to have exactly what you need, but without the weight of having three lens systems with you.

But that’s not all, Lomography also plans to launch even more lens components for this new system, meaning that as time goes on, this system will just get better and better.

It’s certainly an interesting idea that we would definitely recommend taking a look at. The campaign has already received over $490,000 in backing on Kickstarter at the time of writing, however, if you are interested, you can still back the campaign to get you early-bird pre-order of the system.
