Lucas Film has today announced that they will be postponing the launch of the 3D versions for Star Wars Episode II and III that were announced for launch in theaters this autumn.

The announcement comes from their website were they stated the following, “Lucasfilm has decided to postpone this fall’s scheduled release of Star Wars Episodes II and III in 3D. Given the recent development that we are moving forward with a new Star Wars trilogy, we will now focus 100 percent of our efforts on Star Wars: Episode VII in order to ensure the best possible experience for our fans.”

But is this really a problem, personally I was really looking forward to the 3D versions of these films, but I would much prefer the newly Disney owned producer to create a better film for Episode VII than focus on something else, and I’m pretty sure Disney are thinking the same with millions of Star Wars fans waiting for them to f**k it up.

The film will be directed by J.J. Abrams and has a release date for sometime in 2014, there’s no new release date for the 3D versions of episode II and III, but we will let you know if we hear anything.
