Today LucidSound announced a new headset that is extremely future proof.
Called the LucidSound LS35X, it is the first wireless gaming headset to be officially licensed for both the Xbox One and the upcoming Project Scorpio console.
And that’s not all, it works in a pretty cool way, connecting to your console in the same way that a controller for the Xbox does, meaning no cables, ease-of-use, and full compatibility. Oh, and it comes with Dolby Atmos compatibility.
And to top that off, it will also work with Windows 10 systems without the need for any cables or even a base station. That makes this a pretty awesome solution for anyone who games on Xbox and PC and is looking to upgrade to Project Scorpio when it is released.
LucidSound explained more about it with the following:
No base station or chat cable is needed, simply pair the LS35X directly with the Xbox One as you would a controller. The LS35X will feature continuous compatibility with past and future Xbox One consoles. Windows 10 users can connect the LS35X directly to new PCs that include built-in Xbox Wireless technology or by using the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows.
In addition to the direct connect technology, the LS35X boasts a magnitude of technical features designed to offer a premium experience for Xbox gamers. The LS35X uses precision 50mm neodymium drivers to provide exceptionally detailed audio. The LS35X is compatible with Windows Sonic for Headphones surround sound technology, providing exceptionally accurate 3D surround sound when playing on Xbox One Consoles and Windows 10. The LS35X also features state-of-the-art head tracking technology and is also compatible with Dolby® Atmos™ for Headphones surround sound optional add-on for Xbox One and Windows 10.
Unfortunately, you can’t pick up the LS35X from LucidSound just yet as it isn’t expected to ship until the holiday season of 2017, but at least you can get your wish list ready.
