Lytro has this week unveiled a prototype for something that is pretty cool, called the Immerge it uses Lytro’s Light Field technology to provide more immersive and cinematic VR footage.

Designed to offer what Lytro call “6 degrees of freedom”, the camera is currently in its prototype stage, so don’t expect to buy one from your local retailer just yet, however Lytro are accepting applications for prototype access.
