Last Wednesday, the new Mac OS X Mountain Lion went on sale to deliver 200 new features to OS X users across the world, for the same price of £13.99.

This pricing and update structure seems to have worked as the new OS has been downloaded more than 3 million times in the last 4 days, which is brilliant.

According to Phil Schiller vice president of Worldwide Marketing, this is Apple’s most successful OS release ever:

“Just a year after the incredibly successful introduction of Lion, customers have downloaded Mountain Lion over three million times in just four days, making it our most successful release ever.”
