Apple has just announced that the new Mac Pro will be priced at $2999 and available from December and will be designed in California, and assembled in the US.

In terms of specs, the Mac Pro features a 3.7GHz quad-core Xeon processor, 12GB of RAM, dual FirePro D300 GPUs, a 256GB SSD, six Thunderbolt 2 ports (with 4K display support), four USB 3.0 ports, dual Gigabit Ethernet ports and a HDMI output, all squished into that amazing looking cylinder design that is said to be one-eighth the volume of the original Mac Pro.

Of course the Mac Pro will also ship with OS X Mavericks pre-installed.
