So with Apple’s removal of legacy USB ports and the SD card slot we are now forced to choose between two evils, dongles and docks.
Both of these create pretty bad experiences, however, the lesser of the two is definitely the dock. There are a lot of docks currently on offer to solve this and today we are going to show you yet another one, the Line Dock.
Line Dock is an Indiegogo project that is basically a dock that is about the same width as the MacBook itself, but without a screen and with a lot more choice between ports, with a total of 3 x USB ports, a HDMI port, a MiniDisplay Port, and a USB Type-C port to allow you to connect it via a USB Type-C connector.
That extra width is not just for extra ports though, and the project generally becomes interesting with the next feature, the inclusion of a 20,000mAh battery, which they say will provide the MacBook with up to 1.5 full laptop charges.
They will also be allowing backers to configure it with extra SSD, with 256GB, 512MB, and 1TB capacities on offer.
You can take a quick look at it via the video below, and you can find out more about it at the source link below, where you can also back the project.
