The iPhone mail app, Mailbox soon might not only be available for the iPhone, but also the iPad and on Android, after the developers behind the app announced on their Twitter that, “An iPad version is in the works” and that “Other platforms are coming down the road—including Android.”

Currently there’s no information as to when the app will be released on these platforms, but once they do, I’m sure they’ll hit with huge fanfare, after the queue for the apps launch, earlier this year rose to highs of one million users, all waiting to access the service.

Mailbox also announced that they are considering a Mac application, telling Pocket-Lint, “Our goal is to expand Mailbox to as many platforms and devices as possible.
