Yesterday marked the 2016 edition of N7 Day, which EA used as an excuse to not only unveil a new trailer for Mass Effect: Andromeda, but also that they will be providing you with another chance to play the previous games on your next-generation machine.

In preparation for this launch, EA launch a Xbox backwards compatibility version on the Xbox One.

This was revealed on Major Nelson’s website, where he revealed that you can play Mass Effect 2 or Mass Effect 3 on the Xbox One, either via a disc or via a download.

But that’s not all, EA also announced that both games, and the original Mass Effect game will be available to download, for free as part of their EA Access program.

It’s a great way to catch up with the events of the last three games, which is a great opportunity given that Andromeda is set 600 years after the events of these first three games

You can watch that new trailer for Andromeda while you wait below.
