Today Microsoft introduced a new and more affordable model of the Surface Pro 3, costing £849 or $1,299, the device is valued the same as the Core i5 option with 256GB option, but instead it features an Intel Core i7 processor, 8GB of RAM and the trade-off of just 128GB of internal storage.
A valid trade-off in our opinion as at the end of the day a 1TB portable external drive doesn’t cost and arm and a leg anymore, here’s a good option: TRANSCEND PORTABLE SOLID STATE HARD DRIVE (ESD400) REVIEW
One thing to note however is that the Surface Pro 3 is over a year old, so if you are to purchase the device now you should either be very dedicated to get one, or looking to get something quickly, it’s likely that the Surface Pro 4 will include a ton of new features, and possibly a brand new processor.
Just something to think about before you get click happy.
There will also be LTE-enabled Surface Pro 3 options released in Germany and the UK this week, with models coming to the US soon.
