As you probably already, Microsoft finally released the newest dashboard update for the Xbox 360 a couple of days ago, but already some new features have appeared, one of those is the removal of both the Facebook and Twitter apps from the Xbox Live store and dashboard.

There’s no official news on why Microsoft have decided to do this, but my educated guess is so they can make socialites use the new Internet Explorer application to get the Facebook and Twitter fix.

Users who have previously downloaded the app will still be able to use it, but of course if they remove it or switch to a new Xbox they won’t any longer.

If we hear anything more official on this, we’ll let you know.
