Earlier this year it was rumoured that Microsoft would launch a premium version of their Outlook.com email service.

Today that new premium service has been launched for Outlook.com.

It has been launched a part of a preview that is now available to anyone who resides in the US, where it is priced at $19.95 for a year during the promotional period, or $49.99 per year after that period.

For that price, you will get custom domain support as well as the removal of any ads that normally appear on the service.

Microsoft says that you will be able to create five personalised email address with either a new domain or an existing domain with Outlook.com Premium.

Microsoft will be offering new domains for free for the first year.

We have not heard any news about a rollout of this service to regions other than the US, when we hear more we will let you know. In the meantime, you can hit up the source link to read more.
