There has been a number of rumours about Microsoft’s Windows 9 over the last few weeks, and these rumours have today developed with a recent report by The Verge who are reporting that Microsoft will be hosting a press event for its announcement on September 30th.

This also links to a recent rumour that said that the company will be releasing the Windows 9 preview this fall.

The Verge says that this preview will be shown off during the event, alongside a number of other key features of Windows 9 at their press event.

The preview will specifically be made for developers however. It is said that this preview might also be announced alongside a version of Windows that will combine both Windows Phone and Windows RT, allowing for cross platform apps for all devices.

However as of yet we have nothing official, but we should find out more soon, when we do we will let you know.
