Today Microsoft has released a brand new version of their Skype app for desktops, which is now available for a range of desktop platforms with a range of new features that you should definitely be happy with.

One of the first things that you will notice with the new version of the app is the design.

It features the same design as the mobile version of Skype with a range of new themes that will allow you to customise that design with the look and feel that you want from Skype.

Personally, we like the all black one.

Alongside that, there’s also a new chat list that shows all of your chats in one place, you can organise all of these by the time received, the status of the message, and if it hasn’t been read yet.

Alongside that, Microsoft has also made it easier to share files with Skype, allowing you to update files up to 300MB over the cloud.

This new version and all of the features included will work across the multiple devices that Skype supports, allowing you to communicate with your friends or family, no matter if they have a smartphone, tablet, console or a computer.

You can download this new version for Mac, Windows, and for Linux from today.

If you already have Skype, Microsoft says that it should be rolled out to you soon.
