Microsoft announced today that they now have other 250 million customers using their Skydrive service, 50 million of which signed up since the launch of Windows 8 in October 2012, and is after the company announced their was already 700 million accounts registered with Microsoft as a whole in April.

The service which first launched in 2007, allows users to upload various types of content a drive in the cloud, to start of users get 7GB of storage to fill for free, after which they need to sign up to one of Microsoft’s subscription packages.

All of this data can also be syncing with various devices.
