The Surface Pro 3 from Microsoft is finally available in the UK, news that comes after it was released in the US in June.

The tablet is now finally available from Microsoft’s online store, Currys & PC World, Argos and a number of other retailers from £639.

For that you get a 12 inch tablet that runs on Microsoft’s Windows 8.1 Pro OS. This means that it can work just like a laptop thanks to a detachable Surface Pro 3 Type Cover which allows the user to add a keyboard to the tablet.

It also has a USB 3.0 port, a mini DisplayPort, a microSD card slot and a Surface Pen that uses multiple pressure points that allows the user to draw and write as they would with a normal pen or pencil.

The 12 inch display also has a resolution of 2160 x 1440, and inside you can either have an Intel Core i3, i5 or i7 processor, 4GB or 8GB of RAM and either 64GB or 512GB of storage.

On the back and front there’s also a 5 megapixel sensor, and inside there’s a battery that claims to last up to nine hours from a single charge.
